Because we have neighbors like you that like to get involved and help out!* *Just a reminder that we have a couple events that you want to make sure you save in your calendars:* *APRIL 24: LOVE MODESTO: * La Loma is hosting two projects: *Dry Creek Cleanup* and the *Native Plant Garden *Mulching and Weeding. Work parties begin at 9 am, and please sign up at lovemodesto.com Working another project on Love Modesto? You can help out in the Garden on another day: See below. *MAY 1: NATIVE GARDEN WORK DAY 9 – 11 am: * Our Native Plant Garden is a precious resource, and one of only a few like it in our state. Currently we need help with Irrigation, and we will be having a Work Party on May 1. *Do you have experience in irrigation? Please join us! *Even if you do not have experience, please bring a shovel and show up! We can put you to work in other ways as well. Email lisaswatman@comcast.net if you have questions. In addition the Garden always needs love, and we always need help weeding as we do not use sprays or weed killers so that we can protect our pollinators.
