There are many activities going on for Love Modesto Day, but our *La Loma Native Plant Garden *is the closest to home! *Sign up at
www.lovemodesto.com/ Look for the La Loma Native Plant **Garden project about half way down the list. * You are asked by the organizers to meet downtown for the early festivities around 8am. There will be free food, music, and a festive atmosphere. The project leader, Rhonda Allen, will be there by a sign for the project, where you can learn more about our plans for the day. *We will gather back at the garden site on Encina about 8:45 to begin our work.* A canopy will be set up and a table where waiver forms need to be signed. *Please bring gloves, a shovel and/or rake, as well as other digging tools and brooms and buckets if you have them.* Make sure to label all of your tools with your name, so they do not get mixed up. It would be best to park at the junior high school, so our cars are not in the way of workers. We will have rock to arrange, plants to install, and hopefully mulch to spread. Lots to do, so we hope for many hands. Thank you for supporting the garden and making our neighborhood a lovelier place to live!
